Hotel White Dammar

We waited a long time, and the service tested our patience. There were just two of us, but they rushed to take the order and then started asking about more items before the food had even reached the table. I asked them to wait until we’d eaten. Within two minutes they brought the bill, even though we hadn’t finished and the food hadn’t all been served. I asked them to wait while I decided about another coffee or juice, but they billed us anyway. The captain and other staff had a very bad attitude and no patience for listening to customers. They seemed hesitant to serve or pay attention to requests. If they have constraints, those shouldn’t show up in the customer experience. Will management do anything about it? That’s a big question. While writing this, I saw that 99% of the other reviews were negative too. I came with high expectations, hoping for a good meal, and left completely disappointed. We ordered Paneer 65, three Butter Roti, and Aloo Gopi Masala for two. We waited a long time, and the whole visit was very bad. Date of Visit: 09/04/2026.

The meal itself tasted decent, which is the only reason I’m giving this two stars. We went to the vegetarian restaurant (Anna Bhavan) around 1:30 pm, during normal lunch hours, and although we were the only diners, nobody came to take our order. It took three attempts to get it right. The menu said the food was made to order and would take 20-30 minutes. We waited nearly an hour, and only after repeatedly asking did the food arrive. Everything was cold, and the rice came another five minutes later after we asked for it. Other guests who arrived after us were served on time. There was no manager to speak to, and the staff didn’t seem to care. The other one-star reviews seem to describe the same attitude. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

The food was a letdown. Dishes lacked flavor, some arrived lukewarm as though they’d been sitting out, and the presentation was underwhelming. It didn’t feel worth the price. Service at the bar was also extremely slow despite it not being particularly busy. It took ages to get someone’s attention, and our drinks took far too long after we ordered. The staff seemed disorganized and inattentive, which made the whole visit frustrating. I wouldn’t recommend the place.

I ordered food on 15/02/2026 and asked for it by 3:10 PM. They kept me waiting until 4:00. This restaurant is always late, so don’t go. The service staff seem helpless. What can I say? 🙏🙏🙏🙏
