OYO Flagship 084 MG Road Trivandrum

For the price, the service was worth four stars. The AC room was clean, with clean sheets and bed, a towel, and TV. Breakfast came quickly and was included, but choices were very limited, just puri bhaji or idli with tea. Coffee costs extra, and the food tasted okay. The washroom was okay, with no hot water, and the basin and toilet were adequately clean. It's conveniently close to the station and padmanabhan Swamy temple, about 2km. Kovalam beach is around 11 km away. A low-floor bus from the temple to the beach costs 40rs, while taxis charge 800 to 1100rs for a round trip and autos are 300rs per trip.

The room was unhygienic, with unclean old sheets and bugs in the bed, and there was no hot water. Before the staff could mark me as checked in, I asked about the meals I'd booked through OYO for that night. They then told me the restaurant wasn't working. I was there with my wife and child, so I checked out that night and got a room at south park. Never go to this oyo flagship 084 aka The Capital.

I stayed just one night, and it was my worst OYO experience. The bed had bugs, the old linen was itchy, and there was no hot water in the washroom. The TV didn't work either. Breakfast came as a parcel with no choice of what to eat, just what THEY wanted us to have. I got three pooris and watery curry.

The rooms were pretty good, but the lack of communication was bad, especially in winter when we needed hot water. We'd booked in advance, and even called to confirm, yet nobody mentioned it wasn't working. When we arrived, they told us. They could at least have called to let us know. Then I found bed bugs in the room and immediately checked out. Attached pics for your reference.
