Hotel Sonas

We booked for two days and found the staff rude and felt they were taking advantage of us throughout. The food had no continental options beyond bread. The sheets looked like they hadn’t been washed in ages. When we asked for fresh ones, they brought a set from another room, and those were dirty too. Wi-Fi didn’t work anywhere except reception. When we asked, they blamed our phone and said businessmen with iPhones were using it. ₹2,000 a day is far too much for this service, which feels worth ₹500 at best. A terrible place to stay.

The cleanliness was poor, Wi-Fi never worked, and when we asked about it, they said the issue was with our phones. They also charged us more than the amount we booked through booking.com. We had to call the police just to check out. I wouldn’t choose this hotel, even as a last resort.

The location is the only good thing I found here. The rooms need proper upkeep and greet you with a smell of smoke, while the bathrooms are especially awful and badly in need of renovation. Service was below average, particularly the front desk attitude, and the buffet breakfast didn’t measure up either. Stay here only if you have no other option.

The bathroom was filthy, with leaking taps and a foul drain, and the whole room smelled so bad it was hard to breathe comfortably. Floors were dirty, walls stained, and dust was everywhere. The bed was deeply uncomfortable, while the sheets and pillow covers reeked of sweat and mold, as if they hadn’t been washed for weeks. Staff were rude and unhelpful, and even requests for towels or drinking water were ignored or took hours. Sonas Inn felt unhygienic and poorly run, with no professionalism. It was the worst hotel I’ve stayed in. I felt the money, health, and peace of mind weren’t worth the risk, and anywhere else would be better.
