Guru Hotel

The location is convenient, just across from Central Bus Stand. Rooms are moderate, and the food is good enough.

The restaurant is nearby and room service is available. Guru hotel is in the heart of Trichy, with transport easy to reach. We stayed two nights as a family in an ordinary s/c room, which was comfortable, and the staff were polite and well behaved. We came mainly for temple visits, so the lack of hot water from the taps between 4 and 6 in the morning was a real problem. The hotel doesn't provide hot water around the clock, and older people can suffer without it at that hour. Room cleaning was another issue: even when we were in the room during the day, we had to ask reception repeatedly to send someone. I had the same two problems during my stay last year too. Management should address them or risk losing customers.

The rooms are old, and there was no water in the room. The bedsheet was very dirty. Mosquitoes kept me awake all night, and my three-year-old son was uncomfortable and couldn't sleep either.

We were at the old Perambalur bus stand location. The thing I disliked was how ants got into sealed food I left on the table or in the cupboard. A packet of banana chips was wasted because they got inside it.
