Staff were polite, but that didn’t make up for the hygiene and upkeep problems at Jancy Residency. I stayed one night and found the room uncomfortable and neglected. The wallpaper was faded, the furniture worn, and the place looked poorly maintained. A musty smell hung around even after I tried airing the room. Mosquitoes and bed bugs were a bigger problem: I woke with several bites, and repellent didn’t help. I couldn’t sleep properly and had skin irritation. I’d look elsewhere for a reliable, restful stay.

The management is the worst. They charge as if this were a good hotel, yet the rooms are full of mosquitoes and bed bugs. I couldn’t sleep.

I’ve stayed here twice, and both times I had the mosquito and bed bug problem others mentioned. The TV in the room doesn’t work. The washroom is just okay, and because the AC outlet is connected inside it, water drops end up in the room and things often stay soggy. The AC itself is good and can keep the room conditioned. The hotel is in the heart of the city, so it’s easy to walk to nearby places. This could work as a backup when visiting Trichy.
