Best Western Tirupati

The staff were polite, supportive, and tried to help, and the food was okay. Still, my stay at Best Western Tirupati was only average, even though I chose one of the top-rated rooms. The biggest problems were the basics. I ran the tap for a long time, but the hot water never got beyond lukewarm. The Wi-Fi wouldn’t work despite repeated attempts to reconnect, which disrupted my work and was a key reason I chose this hotel. In 2025, reliable internet shouldn’t be a struggle at a branded property. I also found a cockroach on the work table. I don’t know when pest control was last done, but that shouldn’t happen in a reputed hotel. The room itself was average, not terrible, but it didn’t feel premium or as well maintained as I’d expect from a Best Western property. I expected a lot better. The stay was manageable, though hot water, working Wi-Fi, and cleanliness all fell short. Better maintenance and basic amenities would make a real difference.

The location and service are good, the people are helpful, and the room and bathroom were perfectly clean. But the fixtures are old, the doors are stained, the rooms need a makeover, and I found small cockroaches in the bathroom. The commode seats don’t fully cover the commodes, leaving a gap. I visited about six or seven years ago and came back last week, and a lot has changed. If the hotel doesn’t get renovated, I won’t return.

The staff were nice, or I’d have given this hotel zero stars, but I don’t recommend it. In the rooms we booked, some bedsheets had blood, hair, or coffee stains. Amenities were inconsistent: one room had no fridge, while another had no hair dryer. The room phones didn’t work, so we had to keep going to reception, and staff started calling us on a personal number. Our keys wouldn’t open the rooms, so someone had to let us in each time. There were cockroaches in the washrooms, mosquitoes in the bedrooms, and dirty utensils and dust in the room. We had to call someone to clean it on our first day. This is one of the worst Best Western hotels I’ve stayed at in the chain.

The bellboys and security staff were great. The food was palatable, and good service made up for the lack of flavor. But the rooms and linen were dirty, and the quality wasn’t like American Best Western hotels. I wouldn’t stay here again.
