Hotel The Home

The pricing and billing caused most of my frustration at Hotel The Home. AC rooms cost ₹2350 for 24 hours, with a one-hour grace period, and there was no discount or perk for booking several rooms. We paid ₹10,000 in advance, but later they said that covered only two rooms and asked us to pay more for the third. When plans changed and we needed a room for just 4 hours, they still wanted either the full ₹2350 or ₹1850 for those hours. Extra beds and services were charged at full price despite our multiple rooms over consecutive days, and we got frequent calls asking for payment. The hotel is close to Tirupur railway station, and basement parking is available for cars and bikes. Rooms are spacious, clean and tidy, the restrooms were clean, and room service was efficient. Some bedsheets were torn, though, and reception could communicate the rates more clearly. With a more flexible and understandable pricing policy, it could be a more appealing option.

The receptionist's attitude ruined our stay. We were there only about 4-5 hours, checking in around 4/5 in the evening and leaving by 8PM, and still got told to GET OUT of the HOTEL. We are from a decent family and expected to be treated with some respect. The employee accused our group of trying to drink alcohol in the room and making noise, but none of us had tried to drink, and we had no such intention. We were exhausted after work. After we raised concerns about the Non Ac room and other problems, he blamed us for the alcohol issue and lied about us. Please teach your staff to respond properly and behave decently. I've stayed in many hotels across India and this was the worst experience I've had. The fan and room service weren't adequate either. I don't understand how arrogant reception staff can be put in a service job. Tirupur has plenty of places I've stayed before, but this one spoiled my trip. Reply to your response on 4th Aug 2018: Dear Karthikeyan, Thanks for responding to our feedback. We left it because of your arrogant receptionist and the way he spoke to us. You said that at check-in you clearly tell guests that liquor isn't allowed, and that our group tried to drink in the room and make noise, which would affect your regular and family guests and the decent reputation you maintain in the city. That is not what happened. We had simply raised our voice about the Non Ac room and other things, and he accused us and told us to leave.

The location is handy, just above South Indian bank, and the rooms are clean and spacious. Free wifi is available, along with complimentary soap and shampoo. They give you 500 ml of mineral water at no charge, then charge for more. There's no complimentary breakfast like at other hotels, and they don't supply toothpaste, a toothbrush, or shaving kits.
