SS Hotels

The rooms were awful, with a bathroom in terrible condition and tiles that looked ready to break. Don't stay here, especially with family. We booked through GoIbibo, but on arrival they said only the person who made the booking could stay. We explained that our friend, who was getting married, had booked it. They insisted it was their rule, then said we could stay for an extra 800. How does that rule suddenly bend when we pay more? Is it all about money? Edit: The owner replied that I came with invalid ID. I accept that. But I was there for my friend's marriage and he was the one who booked the hotel. Should I have asked him to cancel his marriage and come to the hotel? What kind of logic is that? I can't believe this hotel has been running so long with reasoning like this. There's no need to make defamatory claims about your hotel. The reviews here speak for themselves 🙏🙂

The breakfast was good, and we also had lunch. The chapati was good, but the curry wasn't up to the mark; it seemed like they had just boiled the vegetables and served them. I'm vegetarian, so I didn't try the non-veg food. The rooms were neatly maintained, and this OYO is within walking distance of tiruppur railway station. It has its own bar and restaurant.

The staff are friendly, and for a one-day stay the price was reasonable. It wasn't bad, but the bed sheets, pillows, water bottle and towel need attention. Don't bother with the bar, it's a complete waste. Poppey hotel nearby is worth visiting for food and drinks, and the ambience is good.

The location is good, and there are better places just meters away. This hotel has been around for quite a while and has a name in Tirupur, but it seems to trade on that reputation while offering below-par rooms for the price. There's no restaurant here. The rooms weren't clean, the paint had come off, and everything smelled very old. They could have maintained the place much better.
