For late dinners after Girivalam, Hotel Arpanaa is especially convenient. Its vegetarian restaurant, Aakash, stays open until 10:30 PM, with last orders around 10:15 PM, when finding good food can be difficult. The menu covers multiple cuisines, mainly Indian, Chinese, and Italian, in a classic setting. The South Indian breakfast was a favorite, especially the fresh, soft, flavorful idli and dosa. Food quality and taste are consistent, making it dependable for hotel guests and outside visitors alike. The rooms are neat and well maintained, and there’s a beautiful mountain view. With clean rooms, scenic surroundings, and reliable vegetarian food, Hotel Arpanaa is a comfortable, practical option for families, pilgrims, and travelers looking for a peaceful stay with late dining available.

We waited almost 45 minutes with kids under 10, then were left with cold food on the table and had to serve ourselves. Staff walked past without helping. We kept asking for items we’d ordered and were told they were being prepared, while people who arrived after us were served. When we questioned it, we were simply told service was closed. If staff can’t understand a language, they should tell customers beforehand. And if service is about to close, they should stop taking orders in advance. This was a complete waste of time and money, with no hospitality and terrible service. Worst hotel experience ever, and absolutely not recommended for families with kids. Telugu people, please avoid this hotel at any cost.

I’ve stayed at Arpanaa for years and value the friendly staff, good food, and peaceful location. The hotel has been serving guests for 15 years, so a facelift would bring the interiors and maintenance closer to current expectations. I’ve seen reviews mention those ageing interiors, and that point is fair. But the heart, legacy, and genuine service culture matter too. If you care more about service, location, and people than cosmetics, this hotel won’t disappoint.

The location made our visit easy, just a quick Rs.150 auto ride from the temple’s main entrance. A few weeks ago, my cousin and I chose Arpanaa Hotel in Thiruvannamalai on a friend’s recommendation, and it turned out to be a fantastic decision. The staff were welcoming, and the rooms were spacious and impeccably clean. Before a long day out, the complimentary vegetarian breakfast spread was a treat. After our tiring 5-hour Giri pradakshina, using the hotel’s full-body massage chair felt like bliss. I highly recommend Arpanaa Hotel.
