Sunshine Guest House

I always feel very well taken care of here. The owner is generous, a wonderful chef, and full of wisdom, information, and history. The verandas and gardens are lovely, and there’s good WiFi and a great cacao bar. The large, peaceful rooms are each decorated differently, and the place is just off the Main Street. My room was under the yoga shala, so during certain events I could hear the kirtan, which was wonderful. The roof and yoga shala have beautiful views of the lake on one side and Arunachala on the other. It’s an easy 20 min walk to girivalam and 30 min to Ramana ashram.

I spent three weeks at sunshine guest house and had a very good stay. It’s peaceful, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Satya, the owner, is an amazing person who’s always ready to help. They also have a high-quality cacao bar and make their own cacao at their factory, which they can take you to visit. Great vibes and experiences here.

I spent 7 nights at sunshine. Satya, the owner, is a decent and generous man. I especially liked the tasty thalis at lunch, which were very reasonably priced and not as spicy as food tends to be elsewhere. They host different workshops and satsangs every day on the rooftop, with lovely views of the hill and lake. I also got to collaborate with musicians and create and host a session. Speakers and microphones are available. Thanks, Sunshine team, for a great time at your place.

The outdoor area is beautiful and peaceful, and the meals were creative and really good. There’s a place to do yoga, and while we were there they had a kirtan evening. Such a lovely place to stay. Thank you so much, Satya and everyone at the hotel.
