I’ve met the owner or manager of this guesthouse a couple of times, and he’s always been friendly. Today he made some copies for me and let me use his office fan while I filled in paperwork for the post office.

The place is close to Ramana Maharishi Ashram, which is why I booked, but the owner’s behavior ruined the experience. He was extremely rude and used abusive language with customers. I have video proof of it. He showed no basic courtesy or professionalism. Don’t book here.

The owner did a lot to help me feel welcome, sorting out laundry, money exchange and a taxi for me. The room was comfortable and spacious, and the location was very good. I’d recommend it to both first-time and experienced travellers.

My rooftop room was the cleanest I’ve had during all my time staying in India. It had everything I could want, even a kettle, dishes and forks. The owner was really nice too. Ramanasramam is a two-minute walk away, and there’s a useful little shop at the entrance for water or other essentials. Highly recommended.

The owner was very rude and didn’t know how to speak to customers. He wouldn’t accept my booking because it was made through booking.com. The worst experience I’ve ever had.
