Hotel Rock Regency Hampi

The food was really good, and the staff were polite and helpful. Service was nice too. The room does need some maintenance, but I still had a good experience overall.

Even simple requests were turned down, and the staff were rude and unaccommodating. They showed little concern for customer service or satisfaction. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

The WiFi was so bad that my laptop had no internet connection at all. For a place operating in the 5G era, it didn’t even come close to 3G speeds. The rooms also need better upkeep: the walls had stains and usage marks and looked like they hadn’t been painted since construction. The furniture was old and unpleasant.

The open restaurant and the building design are real highlights, and the service is why I gave the place four stars. Pulok from the restaurant team brought loads of energy and a warm, homely feel that made us want to return. Aamir Khan knew the menu well, and his picks, including flower chicken, makhmali chicken, Korean chicken, and jasmine rice, were right on the mark. Uma Ma’am took our orders by phone and was always kind, graceful, and thoughtful with her suggestions. Sami Madam and another cheerful woman at reception greeted us with smiles. A few things could be improved: the Wi-Fi, the room paint, and the lighting. The tubelights don’t create the cozy feel found elsewhere. Without the people who made the service so good, I’d have given it two stars for the open-air restaurant and building design.
