Sayaji Jamnagar

I stayed two nights at Hotel Sayahi, Jamnagar, and found it comfortable and pleasant for both leisure and a short business trip. Breakfast options were decent, and my room was clean, spacious, and well maintained. The central location on the main road in Jamnaga city is a big advantage. The railway station, main markets, and local attractions are easy to reach, and autos and cabs were convenient to get. Even in this busy area, the hotel itself felt reasonably calm and well managed.

We were charged more than the MRP printed on the mineral water bottle. When we questioned it, the manager said the extra amount was a “service charge” and claimed it was legal to charge above MRP. That, along with how our concern was handled, left us disappointed with the restaurant’s pricing transparency. We’d also ordered a Gujarati dish, but the taste was extremely poor and nowhere near our expectations. The food quality didn’t justify the price. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend visiting Sayaji Restaurant.

I was stopped from entering the gymnasium in the evening because, according to the duty manager, it had been reserved for their MD. Earlier, about an hour after check-in, a housekeeping staff member walked into my room while I was sleeping without asking or even knocking. When I complained to the front desk, they brushed it off and said this happens because they’re busy with occupancy. Pathetic service and no sense of hospitality. Overall, a hopeless dhaba.

I’ve found Sayaji Hotel in Jamnagar to be consistent whenever I visit, with high standards and excellent hospitality. It lives up to its name, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone coming to the city. The atmosphere is peaceful, making it suitable for families, business trips, or a weekend away. Staff are polite, professional, and ready to help with a smile, and room service is prompt. The in-house restaurant has a great range of Indian and continental dishes. The rooms are spacious, clean, and beautifully maintained, with modern interiors. Details like the lighting and bedding feel thoughtfully arranged for comfort. The hotel has premium amenities and is very well managed. 🏨🍽️👍
