Tulin Heritage Bungalow

We stayed in the "Deulghata" room on 2nd & 3rd January, 2026. The service felt homely, the rooms were neat and clean, and the food was good. It was a pleasant, comfortable stay. The property's heritage charm is what sets it apart from nearby stays, so it could use some professional attention to preserve that. I also expected better CAB service for sightseeing. Still, I enjoyed the stay.

The rooftop had stunning views of the dark sky, and I spent lazy afternoons relaxing with a cuppa on the red oxide seats, away from city noise. My spacious ground-floor room looked out onto the colourful, huge front garden, and the bungalow's aesthetics and old-world charm were striking. Tulin is a quaint, serene little town with clean air. In February the weather wasn't as extreme as I'd expected, though late evenings were a bit chilly, so it still felt like winter hadn't quite left, unlike in Kolkata. The day tours were easy to book and took us to local places of outstanding natural beauty, including Ajoddhya pahaar, Muruguma dams, and Subarnarekha nadi teer. The food was very tasty, especially the chicken curry and aloo posto, and the staff were amicable and helpful. Excellent service too, a real little jewel of a place.

The homemade khana was delicious, and the countryside was verdant, with the bungalow impeccably maintained. But what really touched me was the hospitality from ALL the members who run the place. From the afternoon of Saturday, Dec 13 th, 2025 until 0930 hrs. on Monday, Dec 15th, 2025, it felt like staying at a home away from home. I'm at a loss for words. Keep it up.

The place sits between Ajodhya hills and Jhankhand, which makes it possible for travellers to cover both circuits, Ajyodhya and Jharkhand waterfalls. The property is very well maintained and has a family-friendly atmosphere. The staff are friendly, the food is excellent, and it feels like a home away from home.
