The vegetarian restaurant downstairs was quite good. I liked the kajhu masal and butter nan, though the noodles and fried rice were very bad. The hotel itself is far from the main buss stop, and the staff weren’t very friendly. The rooms were dirty despite the white bed sheets, the toilets were awful and not suitable for couples, and the power went off often. Even if you’re a broke bachelor, this is still a bad place to stay.
I only found out when I arrived that the hotel wouldn’t accept my Oyo booking, even though it was still listed in the Oyo account. The management and Oyo people apparently hadn’t removed the hotel listing. They asked me to check in as a regular walk-in, which shocked me. Since other hotels are around 2 kms away, I felt this was a cheap trick to get customers there and charge double the price shown on the Oyo app.

There’s a lodging and food point here, with service available 24*7 and reasonable prices. It’s a well maintained hotel in the heart of the tumakuru city, near banshakari cercle stop in a crowded area. There’s a wheel chair accessible way, and it’s near the banshakari temple. The climate is good, and there’s a tiffin center.
The receptionist kept disturbing us and asking us to pay the remaining balance on the spot. We’ve never had this happen during any of our earlier stays. The management staff’s behaviour was the worst. One star!
