TIH Buckwheat Root Camp - Turtuk

Turtuk ended up being the loveliest part of our trip, and we have Sachin to thank for insisting we include The tum. The camp’s location is amazing, and Ali bhai was a warm, polite host who was always smiling. He sent a staff member along on our village walk, which was beautiful. The hospitality was great.

Sachin bhai recommended this place, and I can’t thank him enough. The campsite is huge, and each tent has its own attached toilet and bath. We enjoyed a bonfire in their big orchard, too. The staff were smiling and on the go all day, and the hospitality really was as good as I’d been told. We also walked through the village and got to visit LoC. A soldier on duty helped us, explaining and showing us the posts on both sides.

Exploring turtuk and staying here made for such a lovely trip, one I’ll remember for a lifetime. Ali bhai and the staff were welcoming and attentive, the food was tasty, and we got to enjoy a bonfire. Beautiful location and amazing people. Thumbs up👍.
