The food was nice, and the view from the top was too good. But I didn't have a pleasant stay. The TV cable wasn't working properly, the bathroom tap kept running, and the manager didn't address my complaints about the bathroom or the fused bulbs. Udaipur has a great location, and this seems like a perfect place to stay. Still, I wouldn't choose it for a special occasion. The tax rules are noticeable too. When paying for food by card, you have to pay 10% extra, but if you've booked a room, there's no additional service charge. So it isn't a good place for lunch or dinner either. It could be a perfect place to stay with friends, but not with family.

The breakfast was included in our booking, but they still refused to give it to us. We had booked the most expensive room through Agoda for four days because we wanted a lake view. Even though a lake view room was vacant, he wouldn't let us have it and instead pointed us toward the smallest, cheapest room, apparently because there were only two of us. The hospitality was awful. A really bad stay.

The rooms were depressing and stuffy, and nothing in the bathroom seemed maintained: the taps and seat were broken, and the geyser was too small. At night the staff shouted back and forth and kept us awake, even after we asked them to stop. It was still going on at 2 AM, after I'd driven all day from Delhi. Service was lousy too. When I asked where my order was, I got a reply along the lines of, “Sir, it’s only been half an hour,” as if they wanted me to keep waiting. Management seemed angry and drunk. I booked three nights but checked out the next day, leaving the money behind. Sometimes your self-respect and life matter more. Sleeping in a car by the lakeside would be better than wasting money here. Donate it instead.

The lake view was nice, and the staff were pleasant. The room was spacious, though it didn't feel fresh and showed some signs of poor maintenance. There's a rooftop restaurant where you can relax. For the price, the place isn't up to the mark. I'd say it's a good deal only if you find a room for under 1k a night; otherwise, choose somewhere else.
