The hosts were the best part. They're genuinely lovely and go out of their way to make you comfortable. It's a quiet, comfortable place in the heart of Udaipur, with Lake palace in the background. If you're traveling with kids and want somewhere homely, this would be ideal, though it should suit any kind of traveler. Everything else about the place was great too.

We really enjoyed staying here, and miss seeing Priya and Deepu every day. They're such lovely people and wonderful hosts. The guesthouse is a beautiful building with a peaceful feel and a rooftop overlooking the city palace. Our room was spacious and clean, with a really nice bathroom, and the location worked well, less than a ten minute walk from the city palace.

What made our five days at Hari Niwas Homestay so memorable was the family who run it. The two sisters and their brother were warm, friendly, and incredibly accommodating, with thoughtful attention and useful local tips. The property itself felt like a sanctuary, very homely and ultra clean, a pristine place to unwind after exploring the city. This was the best homestay experience we've ever had. It felt like being welcomed into a caring family, not just visiting a place to sleep. For an authentic and heartwarming stay in Udaipur, I can't imagine a better experience.

We loved our two night family stay in January. Jagdish temple is less than 100 meters away, right in the heart of the old city. Preeti was a wonderful host and the staff were fantastic. The rooms were bright, clean, and modern while keeping the original architecture. Breakfast was cooked fresh and served hot, and was delicious. My wife especially loved the chana dal subzi. We'd happily recommend this guest house to anyone heading to Udaipur.

We booked three nights at Hari Niwas guesthouse, then extended to six. It became our favourite stay during a month in Rajasthan and UP. Priya and Deepu are caring, chatty, smiley hosts who were always offering chai or something to eat. I was recovering from food poisoning I got in Jodhpur, and they helped with natural remedies for my stomach. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and Priya shared home cooked snacks with us. We loved seeing them every day. The room was beautiful and comfortable, with plenty of places to sit, and the rooftop had a lovely palace view. The sights and restaurants were walkable, and the train station was close for our departure. We'd recommend it to anyone and hope to come back soon.
