We shared a room with a couple of strangers who soon became friends, which made the three days even more enjoyable for me and my husband. The meals were delicious and felt homemade. A highlight was the sunrise ride, a beautiful, peaceful moment shared with people we'd only just met. The welcoming atmosphere and lovely people left us with great memories. I'd recommend this place for comfort, good food, and meaningful travel experiences.

The sunrise scooter tour was epic, and Hostel Mantra was also the perfect place to celebrate Holi. I've stayed here twice now and will come back again. Amazing staff, great food, and incredible views. See you soon!

The daily activities and common areas were a big part of what I enjoyed, along with the beautiful lake view. The staff's hospitality and the accommodations made me feel welcome right away. Ayush led an excellent bike tour to the mountain hills. Watching the sunrise was really fun, and he kept sharing his positive energy with guests. One of the best hostels I've stayed in in India. I hope to return soon.

The Lakeside Room made for an amazing stay at Hostel Mantra Udaipur. The place feels welcoming and like a home away from home. It's near the main market and popular spots, yet tucked down a quiet lane without traffic or noise. The rooftop restaurant has incredible Lake Pichola views, tasty food, and a cozy, relaxed feel. We had a Masala Omelet, Mushroom Omelette, and Ginger chai, all really good. We missed the free sunset chai because we were out most evenings, and the karaoke nights sounded fun. The place was clean, and luggage storage after checkout was convenient. The staff went out of their way to help us feel comfortable. Shoutout to Dwisha, Aashish and Bhushan. Hope you enjoyed the Bombay Pav 😄🍞. Great value, suited to couples and solo travelers. Highly recommended!

Hostel Mantra's rooftop is a lovely place to watch the sunset over the Udaipur skyline and lake. The hostel feels safe and organized, which makes it a good option for solo travelers. Dorms and rooms are clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the common areas make it easy to meet people. It's also very close to Lake Pichola and most main attractions, so I could explore on foot. The relaxed, friendly atmosphere brought together travelers from different parts of the world. Staff were welcoming and always ready with suggestions for local food and things to do. For an affordable, friendly hostel in a convenient spot with a good traveler vibe, I'd happily stay again on my next visit to Udaipur.
