Hotel Dhola Ghat Haweli

Yummy yoga on the rooftop is worth visiting for dinner. The food was delicious, the view was amazing, and the staff were humble and professional. The rooms are reasonably priced and well placed for walking to tourist spots and sunset points. But the washrooms weren’t clean or hygienic, and basic items like soap and towels weren’t provided. Even if you don’t stay here, the restaurant is worth a meal.

The warm, attentive staff made for a comfortable stay at Dhola Ghat Haveli Hotel. Right beside Pichola Lake, this charming heritage property has traditional architecture and a peaceful atmosphere that capture Udaipur’s character. The lake-facing rooms have stunning views, especially in the morning and evening. With its old-world feel and prime location, it’s a lovely choice for a quiet getaway or an authentic Rajasthani experience.

City Palace, Jagdish Temple, and Bagor ki haveli are only around 500 to 600 metres away on foot, and the rooftop restaurant has a nice view and delicious food. Expect to wait at least 30 minutes for a meal, though. The rooms are okay, the building architecture is small, and the staff are good and helpful. But towels were old and dirty, and there’s no lift, so I’d avoid this place with an older person. We booked three nights and four days, and had to keep asking for things. The room phone didn’t work, and the deluxe room TV wasn’t working; when I asked, I got the rude and unexpected response that the room didn’t come with a TV. You also have to ask for small things like a bathtub and bath soap. It might do for a one-night stay, but there are many good hotels nearby.

The security person was very rude and irritated, and kept bothering us in our privacy. Staff need to speak more politely.
