Adil Sheikh at reception made a real difference. He listened patiently to our concerns, understood our situation, and helped us stay without stress. Our original booking had ended, but he arranged rooms for an additional 4th day at the best possible rates. His professionalism and willingness to help stood out. We had a very pleasant stay at Raj Kuber Hotel, and the whole Raj Kuber team made us feel welcome. Thank you, Adil. Highly recommended!

For our Mayo reunion, we had the entire hotel to ourselves. The rooms, bathrooms included, are very large, and the terrace looks out over all of Udaipur. Service for anything we needed was extremely prompt. Food from breakfast through dinner was very good, and their coffee latte was excellent. The 5th floor Polo Lounge is a dark, British-style hardwood room with great ambience. There are no shops or salon at the hotel, and nothing nearby. For getting around the old city, a scooter rickshaw is best.

The food choices are limited, but what we tried tasted good. There were a few work in progress projects during our visit, so it should be an even better experience for future travelers. The architecture is beautiful, the staff very polite, and our direct booking was seamless and Hasselfree. Special mention to Adil for helping with our booking and reception.

The rooms are huge, beautiful, and well maintained, but service is practically nonexistent. We had to keep asking for things, and the room telephone wasn't working. My stay had good and bad sides.

Breakfast had a good range of options, and the hotel had a good view of the lake. We booked a luxury lake view room at Raj Kuber and were pleasantly surprised by how huge the room and washroom were. Cleanliness was fine, about 7/10. The hotel is up on a hill, so walking there on the road is tough without a vehicle. I'd recommend it if you have your own.
