Hotel Sanobar

The location was fine, less than a kilometre from the bus stand and railway station, and the food tasted good. Still, I had a bad experience. The room was tiny for a super deluxe category, which felt like an ordinary room, and the hotel was overpriced. I don’t think a super deluxe room should cost more than INR 1500 -2000 even at peak season. Check-in is at noon and checkout at 10 am, which is awkward for travelers arriving early by train. They charged 500-1000 for early check-in even when a room was available. You can’t get tea before 8 am, there was a shortage of staff, and no welcome kit such as a toothbrush or shaving kit. They also billed manually, with no computer system.

It’s only 600mts from Udaipur City Station, and we stayed for three days. The staff were friendly and cooperative, making sure we didn’t run into problems so we could enjoy our vacation. You can rent a bike or arrange a taxi through the hotel. The food was the best part for me, delicious and affordable. Worth the money, and I’d recommend it if you visit Udaipur.

I stayed here for company work for 2 months, in Room 206. The staff were good, but I strongly recommend against staying because of how the owner handled payment. I paid 1.25 lacs, with 26,000 left, and said I would pay the balance at checkout. I had booked 60 days, paid 1 lacs at the start and 25,000 after 10 days, yet the owner kept contacting me about paying the remaining amount that same day. He was very rude and seemed money minded. Anyone can check with Manger Mr Ganpat Singh or Second Manager - Mr Pralad ji.

As a Canara Bank employee, I had a terrible experience. The staff were very rude and charged us 500 Rs for early check-in, even though many rooms were empty. The restaurant was pathetic too. Our checkout is tomorrow, and when we asked for a two-hour buffer, they simply refused. There was no courtesy at all.
