Hotel Sarovar Grand

The location is tucked into narrow lanes off the main road, and parking is along the roadside. The building is new, and our room looked clean at first, but the toilet was dirty. It was cleaned after we complained, though it still wasn't up to standard. We were three people and had paid for an extra bed, yet the request for another towel was refused. The bed was set up at night with dirty linen, which they replaced only after we complained. The rooftop restaurant also felt unclean: we got dirty glasses, and cutlery and napkins were missing even after several reminders. We stayed one night and left dissatisfied. The hotel seemed badly managed, and they took my ID card to copy but never returned it. We hoped to collect it on our way home from the tour. Before checking in, we asked reception whether our driver could stay overnight and said we were willing to pay. The receptionist assured us they would look after him. In the morning, the driver said staff had made him leave the room around midnight to make space for extra hotel staff, so he slept in the vehicle. That was very inhuman behavior. When I came back to collect my Aadhar Card, the manager confronted me about my negative review and argued with me. Other guests considering this hotel should know that the staff don't seem to care about customers.

The room was clean, room service was good, and the staff were very helpful. It was a nice place to stay near Udaipur city railway station, and I was happy with my stay. Mr. Ghanshyam was a very good person.
