The staff were kind and really helpful. They gave us honest guidance about local prices, which helped us avoid tourist traps, and pointed us to some great places for authentic local food. Our room was clean, spacious, and well kept, with a lovely view of Pichola lake. The food was fresh and tasty, too. There’s a rooftop restaurant reserved for hotel guests, which felt like a safer option for girls. The hotel is near Gangaur Ghat, so Jagdish temple, bagore ki haveli, and city palace are easy to get to. We had a comfortable stay and would recommend it to visitors in Udaipur.

From the terrace, Lake Pichola looks beautiful, and it’s a relaxing place to take in the view. Hotel Tiger also has a lovely old heritage feel that brings out the charm of old Udaipur. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Staff were polite and helpful, especially Mr. Rathod Sir, who was humble, respectful, and attentive to guests. The hotel is near Gangaur Ghat, with most major sights a 5-10 minute walk away, which made getting around easy. I’d highly recommend Hotel Tiger for a comfortable stay, warm hospitality, and an authentic Udaipur feel in Old Udaipur.

The location was convenient, close to City Palace and within walking distance of key sights. But the hotel itself was a letdown. The property feels old and worn, the rooms were much smaller than I expected and had poor ventilation, and the outdated washrooms weren’t clean. With the high room tariff, it just didn’t feel worth the money. For a trip to Udaipur, I’d think twice about staying inside the Old City near Lake Pichola, where many places can be cramped and outdated. A more modern hotel outside the Old City may offer better value and hygiene, and you can take an auto-rickshaw in to see City Palace and the lake. There’s no need to sleep near the lake to enjoy the view either. You could have lunch or dinner at one of the many rooftop restaurants there, then return to a more comfortable room elsewhere.

The manager’s friendly, professional manner really stood out. He took care of the small details and greeted guests so kindly, and that personal attention made my stay feel extra comfortable. I had a fantastic experience at Hotel Tiger, where the staff were warm and welcoming.

Room and bathroom cleanliness could use more attention. A little improvement there would have made the stay feel perfect. Otherwise, the location made sightseeing very easy, with everything close by and easy to reach. The staff were friendly, cooperative, and always willing to help. I had a comfortable, enjoyable stay and definitely recommend Tiger Hotel in the area.
