Hotel Udai Niwas

The rooms had a fun haveli vibe, and the staff were both professional and friendly. They helped with all our questions and even helped us format our itinerary. Gajendra and Bhisma at reception were superb. We stayed for 3 days and found everything more than perfect, especially the top-notch cleanliness. From Jagadish temple to city palace and the main lakes, everything is walkable. Absolutely delightful.

Bhim Ji helped us plan our Udaipur itinerary, and I really appreciated his assistance. The staff were calm, courteous, and helpful. Our rooms at Udai Niwas were clean and well maintained, making for a very comfortable and wonderful stay.

The rooftop restaurant was a real highlight, with delicious, nicely presented food. Udai Villa is also right in the heart of the city, so getting around for sightseeing was easy. Our room felt spacious and clean, with a traditional heritage style, and everything was well maintained. The staff were polite and professional, and service came promptly. A comfortable, memorable stay.

The location is convenient for City Palace, Gangour ghat, Pichola lake, and Jagadish temple. We also enjoyed the food and lake views at the rooftop sun n moon restaurant, and the staff were polite and helpful. But getting around inside the hotel was difficult: the staircase is so narrow that even one person struggles to climb it, and the tiny single lift only fits 2-3 people, so waits of 10-12 minutes were unavoidable. Cars can't reach the hotel, so you have to come by auto rickshaw. Our standard room was very small, poorly ventilated, had no wardrobe, and had no mobile network reception.
