We booked 10 rooms and checked in at 1. Right away, we reported that the AC wasn’t working in three rooms and four bathrooms smelled bad. The housekeeping staff were the only good part of the experience. My six-year-old and my uncle, who’s over 70, had to sleep in the garden until midnight. The housekeeping team persuaded a local AC technician to come out, and after he fixed things at 12 that night, we could finally use the room. The manager wasn’t even at the property. He spoke rudely and said that since three rooms had been provided properly, we shouldn’t expect more service. When we raised concerns, he claimed he didn’t know about them. We paid in full in advance, yet Saffronstays management hasn’t answered or called us back despite repeated complaints and tickets. It’s been 24 hours since check-in. I have videos, photos and call records, and I’m taking legal action. I’ve never experienced service this bad. They don’t answer calls or call back. If you’re considering staying here, don’t. And don’t book through Saffronstays.
The property at Kilakot is lovely and peaceful, just right for a relaxing break. What made our visit special was the hospitality. Mahipal ji, the caretaker, was kind and genuine, always ready to help and going out of his way to make everything comfortable and smooth. He made us feel at home the whole time. Highly recommended for a comfortable, memorable stay.
Kilakot Haveli has a beautiful property with a real royal feel. Our rooms were clean, the food was good and the staff were very friendly. We had an amazing stay and will definitely visit again.
We booked the whole property for three days, and our trip was ruined. The only real positives were the ground staff, especially Mr Mahipal, Mr laxman and Mr Vishnu, who were attentive from day one, and Chef Mr Babuji, who was very good. On day one, we checked in at 2 pm and found that some room ACs weren’t working while other rooms had an unbearable smell. We kept asking the ground staff to sort it out, and it wasn’t resolved until 12:30 at night. Day two was okay, but on day three there was a power outage and the MCBs kept tripping, leaving us without fans, lights or ACs. We lost the whole day dealing with it. The operational manager, Mr. Vishal, came only after repeated requests and wasn’t helpful. Main Manager Mr Jashvant didn’t come at all and told us by phone to resolve things with Vishal. There were children and older people in our group, and they suffered. If you’re travelling with a large group, this place isn’t for you.
Mahipal and Vishal were the best part of our stay. They were warm, genuinely caring and quick to help, and went out of their way to handle our requests. We felt at home. The place itself is peaceful, welcoming and nicely maintained, with an easy, relaxed atmosphere that suited our time in Udaipur. We had a very hospitable stay and a great experience. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting.
