There’s a vegetarian restaurant on the rooftop with good food and spectacular views, and we even celebrated our wedding anniversary up there. We stayed for three days and found it comfortable and budget-friendly. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The rooftop view was amazing, with the lighting and Ghanghor Ghat looking beautiful from above. Jag Nivas was a wonderful, convenient place to stay in Udaipur, with nearby attractions easy to reach. Our room was clean, spacious, well maintained, and had the basic amenities. The staff were warm, polite, and helpful, and they suggested rental vehicles at a very affordable price and helped us bargain. A comfortable, budget-friendly, hassle-free stay. Highly recommended.

We got an amazing price for our stay, and during Holi I don't think you'll find a better one. The staff were great and very helpful, especially Manu at the rooftop restaurant. The food was great too. A great stay in udaipur.

The hotel's location near Gangaur Ghat is good, and the rooms are decent for the price if you're there for only a day or two. The low price is the only reason for the one star. I travel solo and have stayed in dozens of hotels in different cities, but I won't forget the attitude and hospitality at Jag Niwas Guest House. I booked for a family trip expecting a pleasant visit, but it became stressful and disappointing. Unless money is extremely tight, I strongly recommend staying elsewhere, especially with family. We arrived around 9:00 a.m., knowing check-in was at 10:00. The receptionist said the room was still occupied and asked us to wait an hour, which was fine. At about 9:55, I politely asked if the guests were packed and ready to leave. He argued and yelled from outside, saying, “How many times should I tell you? They will leave at 10 AM. I can’t force them to leave.” I told him his tone was unacceptable, especially since I'd paid around ₹8000 for six nights. It felt like straight-up harassment. We finally got the room around 10:30 a.m., but there were no clean towels, shampoo, or soap. There's no phone in the room to call room service, and no one came to clean it during our six-day stay. Mobile coverage in the area is poor, and the WiFi was practically unusable, with a top speed around 50 kbps. It was the first time I felt completely fooled by Google Maps ratings. Food service was just as bad. An order placed at 6 p.m. might not arrive until 8 p.m. Two cups of tea took more than two hours and three calls; a hot-water jug requested at 9 p.m. arrived at 10:30, after I'd fallen asleep. The food was overpriced and below average.
