The lakefront is beautiful, though getting there by car is difficult, and evening traffic makes the return trip to the hotel slow. Once there, the rooms are comfortable and the atmosphere is lovely, with fresh flowers and live music each day. Yadhuvir was a pleasure to deal with, and the team noticed the little requests. Dinner service gets very busy. I’d stay here again.

Lunch was really pleasant in the elegant, peaceful setting. The hotel looked just like the pictures, beautiful and well cared for, and the food was delicious with great quality and flavor. Jaynder Singh looked after us. He was soft-spoken and kind, which made us feel especially welcome. The rest of the staff were polite, attentive, and ready to help.

The rooftop pure vegetarian restaurant was a highlight, with tasty, hygienically prepared food and lovely city views. Room service was quick and well organized, too. Jag Niwas Guest House is also conveniently close to Lake Pichola, Jagdish Temple, Bagore Ki Haveli, and other major sights. Vinu, the manager, made sure things went smoothly from check-in through check-out. He was polite, helpful, and always available, and the whole staff was courteous. My room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with a peaceful feel. Housekeeping was prompt, and fresh linens and towels came regularly. They can help with sightseeing, taxis and transport, travel guidance, and flexible check-in. I had a memorable stay and would recommend the guest house to people visiting Udaipur. It was comfortable and had that warm Rajasthani hospitality. Thanks to Manager Vinu and his team.

We came back to Jagat Niwas Haveli for dinner after staying there about six years ago. Om Prakash at reception recognized us right away, smiling as ever, and went out of his way to get us a rooftop table. From there, the Lake Pichola sunset was glorious. As the light faded, the illuminated buildings around the lake made the whole scene feel magical. Dule Singh looked after us warmly and attentively, making sure we had what we needed. It’s a delightful place to enjoy old Udaipur’s charm along with modern comforts.
