The rooftop breakfast was a highlight, with good food and beautiful views. Even when we overslept, the staff checked on us so we wouldn’t miss breakfast, which we appreciated. They made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Our room was super clean, and the AC made a huge difference in the Udaipur heat. Lal Haveli is right in the old town, perfect for exploring on foot. We felt completely safe walking around day and night and didn’t need tuk tuks. We loved staying here and would absolutely come back. Highly recommend!

You can walk to the city palace in just 7 minutes from this lovely property in the heart of the old city. The rooftop has a great view and a relaxed vibe, and the food was amazing. Staff were welcoming and helpful. The rooms are beautiful, full of character, and a nice mix of modern and old.

Traffic noise might be an issue, but earplugs are provided for sleeping. The staff and the owner himself are so welcoming and make you feel at home. The building feels historic and thoughtfully restored, and the rooms are cozy. Service and food were excellent. It’s a good base for exploring the old city, which you can cover in two days. Ask the management about an early morning private boat ride for sunrise. It was a very good experience. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a historic experience.

Narendra was the person who made this place stand out for me. He was so kind and happy to accommodate requests, and when we were craving gulab jaamun, he even took us to the best mithai shop in town. He made the place feel like home. I stayed at kaladwas lal haveli for 3 nights in October. The haveli is beautifully preserved and feels luxurious, despite being in a busy part of the city. Once inside, it’s peaceful, and there’s so much attention to detail in the rooms. Breakfast was included and was so good on the rooftop terrace/restaurant that it was probably our most luxurious stay, even compared with a 5 star hotel we stayed in later. 10/10, I’d recommend it to anyone.

The handwritten welcome note and exceptional hospitality made us feel so happy with our stay at Kaladwas Lal Haveli. We chose this beautiful place for our wedding photoshoot, and its Rajasthani backdrops, architecture, and rich history made a perfect setting. The haveli’s aesthetic really does transport you back in time. Truly a hidden gem!
