Kintsugi at Rangniwas

Breakfast by the pool in the warm sunshine, with such good food, was a highlight I didn't want to miss. The staff were so welcoming and sweet. The rooms are cozy and reflect the Japanese art form Kintsugi, which the hotel is named after. It's near about 50 percent of the major tourist attractions. For the services they provide, I feel the prices are low. I really don't think I'm exaggerating when I call it the best place you can get.

They made sure we left with hot, piping parathas, fruit, chai, and coffee when we had to head to our next destination early. There was a small hot-water issue during our stay, but the manager personally arranged for staff to bring hot water to our room, even early in the morning. The place itself is beautiful, a real hidden gem in Udaipur, with a vintage-feeling room and balcony setup. Cleanliness, service, and upkeep were all on point. We loved the garden, seating areas, and pool, all neat and clean, and the bonfire was a blessing in peak winter. There's a cute little co-working space too, which was a nice surprise. Loved the vibe and resort, and we'd definitely visit again.

The bathroom taps need work. The shower controls were hard to operate, like a puzzle to get the right mix, and at this price dental kits and hairdryers should be in every room. Our superior room bed squeaked a bit, though that may be part of the hotel's heritage feel. The property has a fantastic vintage look and lots of greenery, with City Palace and the popular attractions just a stone's throw away. Staff were friendly, amazing, and courteous, especially the breakfast team, who always had a smile. There's a cozy fireplace in the lobby, but ask ahead if you want staff to light it.

We found the breakfast modest in size but really tasty, with fresh, flavorful choices each morning. The little rooms at Kintsugi Rangniwas Boutique Hotel in Udaipur had a cozy heritage and vintage feel, with thoughtful details that made us feel at home. Its intimate boutique atmosphere and spot close to shopping and major attractions made exploring easy, without wasting time commuting. A relaxed, charming stay, especially for couples or solo travelers. Highly recommend, 5 stars.
