Most of Udaipur’s main sights are close enough to walk to from Kotra Haveli, including Jagdish Temple, City Palace, Hathi Pol Market, Lake Pichola, the cultural programs, Maharana Pratap Express toy train and Karni Mata Temple. Cars can’t reach the property itself, but autos can drop you nearby. That central location is what persuaded me to book for January 2-5, 2025, even though some mixed reviews had made me hesitate. I’m glad I took the chance. We arrived before check-in and had breakfast while they got the room ready. My daughter doesn’t eat spicy food, and the paneer paratha was a bit much for her. She only managed a little, but Narendra, the attentive young restaurant staff member, noticed and brought her a milder one without us asking. That kind of care stood out. The in-house chef, Mr. Praveen, made amazing meals, and the food really showed his warmth. Hospitality, prompt service, cleanliness and the helpful waiting room for early arrivals or late train and flight departures all made our stay feel comfortable. I’d happily recommend Kotra Haveli to anyone visiting Udaipur.

Almost all the tourist sights are within walking distance, and we felt completely safe wandering around Udaipur, even at night. I’d definitely explore the city on foot. The rooftop restaurant is a good option if you want to eat in, with excellent food and a lovely City Palace view. The hotel itself is beautiful, very clean and comfortable, and close to Jagdish Temple. The staff welcomed us warmly and made us feel at ease from the start. Rahul was especially kind and attentive. I highly recommend staying here to experience Udaipur.

Dining is a highlight, with several on-site restaurants offering tasty local and international food, attentive staff and a pleasant atmosphere. The spacious, clean rooms have comfortable bedding, modern amenities and thoughtful design. Fitness center, spa, room service and concierge support round things out. Hotel Kotra Haveli makes for a satisfying stay for both business and leisure travelers.

Everyone at the property was polite and welcoming, and the rooms were spacious and clean with really comfortable beds. Breakfast choices are limited, but enough for what we needed. We had a fantastic two-night stay at Kotra Haveli in December 2025. Jagadish Temple is about a five-minute uphill walk away, and the location is fantastic. I’d definitely recommend it.

The staff were really helpful and even looked after our luggage after checkout. Our stay was brilliant and comfortable, with spacious rooms and clean washrooms. The hotel is near all the major spots, so it’s easy to get around, and breakfast was delicious with several options.
