Lake Paradise Hotel

The views were great, the decor felt elegant but welcoming, and the food was delicious. Our rooms were comfortable and tastefully decorated, and the staff were warm and courteous, looking after every need. It’s hard to find anything negative after such a lovely stay at Hotel Lake Paradise. Stayed December 2014, travelled with my wife.

The photos posted by the hotel look good but can easily mislead you. It’s down a very narrow lane where only a person can walk, the staff were unsupportive and behaved poorly, and the environment felt unhygienic. It could be even worse in the rainy season. Their card machine also seems to be down all the time, so bring plenty of cash. Don’t expect to leave your luggage and come back later to use a room to freshen up, because you won’t get one. My two-day stay was already spoiled. Think carefully about all this before booking. My experience was really bad, mostly hype.

Getting here by car is difficult because the lanes are narrow, and people with disabilities should avoid booking. The property itself is good, but the staff were horrible and not helpful. I paid for a higher category room but was first put in a lower one. They changed it after I complained, though it left me feeling they might have been trying to cheat me. The restaurant wasn’t operating during our three nights, and we couldn’t get a hairdryer. The TV had no cable, and the power kept cutting out without them switching on the generator.

The location is the one good point. Otherwise, I don’t see a reason to choose this hotel, and it’s not worth more than ₹900 a night. The rooms are very small, with an average bathroom and almost no sunlight because the windows are useless. There’s no breakfast, and you won’t get OLA or UBER cabs from the hotel to the city. Take back your scanned original documents after booking. I had a very bad experience because the hotel Manager / Owner - Imtiyaz Ali ... tends to misplace them.
