Our two-day family stay was dominated by heat, uncertainty, and repeated power failures instead of the relaxing holiday we had hoped for. A storm had hit the area the day before we arrived, and we understand that can cause problems, but the electricity was out for about two hours even after check-in, with more cuts throughout our stay. There was no proper generator backup, which made the rooms very uncomfortable in the summer. Our children were so distressed by the heat and lack of power that they cried. We were moved to another hotel rather than seeing the problem resolved. We paid ₹3,500 for that room, which had no AC, and it also had power cuts. When we asked staff when the electricity might return, we got the casual response, “It will come when it comes.” We expected some concern and support from management while guests were struggling, but didn’t get it. The communication and arrangements were poor, and the staff seemed indifferent. None of the stay met our expectations, and our holiday was spoiled. Families travelling with children should check the power backup and facilities before booking. For us, it wasn’t worth the money.

The pool was a lovely place to unwind after a day out, and the hotel just outside Udaipur exceeded what I expected. Mr. Sagar(front office manager) made our New Year's stay especially memorable. He was kind and helpful, and went out of his way to arrange a great party with music and a bonfire. It was a perfect way to welcome the new year. I'd recommend the hotel for a relaxing getaway, and I'm grateful to Mr. Sagar for making it special.

The electricity problems made our two days at Manas Resort miserable, and moving us to Hill View Resort didn’t help. The power went out about eight times at the first resort, then was off for over two hours at the second. There was no proper backup, and even charging our phones became difficult. Other basics were poor too. Complimentary drinking water was missing or not properly chilled, and cold water meant paying ₹45 for a Bisleri bottle. The pool had dead mosquitoes, insects, and dirt floating in it; staff didn’t properly clean it after we complained. At night, mosquitoes in the rooms made it hard to sleep. The staff were unprofessional and offered no real response or fix when we raised issues. We called the owner more than 12 times about the power and facilities and got no answer. Eventually, the main contact stopped taking calls altogether. It felt as though management stopped caring once payment was collected. With the dirty pool, mosquito-filled rooms, lack of cold water, repeated outages, and poor service, this was one of my worst resort stays. I strongly recommend avoiding it until these serious problems are resolved.

The whole property, including the pool and outdoor areas, was very clean, and the staff were helpful. It’s a good resort for the price. It’s in a residential area, but that didn’t cause us any problems.
