Oyo 5349 Shree Jagdish Mahal Heritage Hotel

I wouldn’t recommend booking this hotel. The neighborhood was cramped, noisy, and smelled bad, and there was no transportation facility. Room service was disastrous: they didn’t clean the room even after we asked repeatedly. Breakfast was awful, just paranthas, and the hotel was highly overpriced. The staff were extremely rude. The only selling point seems to be its heritage status. The owner brags about comparing the place to Taj lakepalace, which is laughable. Google doesn’t offer zero stars, but that’s what I’d give it. Save your hard-earned money and avoid this property.

The complimentary breakfast was unbeatable, and the staff were very hospitable. They also provided pickup. The rooms were clean, neat, and had all the facilities, with cleanliness clearly taken seriously. It’s a nice place for a typical Indian heritage experience, and I’d recommend staying here.

The terrace is a beautiful place to relax in the evening, with the best view in the area. Inside, the rooms are cozy and ornate, with Rajasthani touches throughout. They aren’t overly plush, but they’re comfortable. It’s tucked into the lanes, just a two-minute walk from Jagdish temple. The hotel has around 180 years of history, so don’t judge it only by online photos or reviews. For a budget boutique stay, I’d recommend it.

The authentic Rajasthani look was very good, but management didn’t meet expectations. Our bathroom was tiny, and water seeped out beneath its door. The food menu had very little variety. We paid 10k per night for the family suite, so the room rent felt high given these issues.
