I stayed about six hours at Hotel Suryansh, Udaipur, and found it comfortable and convenient. It’s close to City Palace, Jagat Niwas, Saheliyon Ki Bari, and the railway station. Check-in and check-out both went smoothly thanks to the staff.

The rooms are quite small, but manageable. The location is very good, and the staff are friendly.

For a couple of hours near the railway station, this could be an okay choice if you want to stay within 1-2km. It’s near Gulab baagh and vintage car museam. Gulab might be a major attraction, and the hourly rates seem fair. Hourly service was available when I asked. The hotel is on the first floor, with Library store downstairs, and the staff member I met was helpful and polite.

Parking was a major problem. They promised a parking space before booking, but none was available, and they had an excuse for everything. The staff behaved very rudely, the room condition wasn’t up to standard, the TV didn’t work, and neither did the room service landline. This was my first and last visit. Zero stars.

We were a family group of 12 and booked three deluxe rooms a month ahead. The rooms were clean, quiet, comfortable, and had working AC and geysers. The staff were polite and helpful, and accommodated our 8 AM early check-in as well as late checkout for one room until 5:45 PM. They didn’t charge extra, and the hotel has a lift. The location worked well, close to City Palace and other attractions, and just 5-6 minutes from the railway station. There’s no breakfast or pool, but tea and coffee are available for extra charges, and nearby stalls and restaurants give you other options. It was a great, budget-friendly stay, and we’d recommend it.
