Samanvay Boutique Hotel Udupi

Getting to the highway was easy, with no congestion, which was a big plus. The hotel is top notch, with roomy spaces, modern toilets and lobby, and everything well maintained. Customer care and breakfast were especially good. They served a different all-vegetarian spread every day, with so many kinds of dosa and vada that even after 15 years in Bangalore I was surprised by the variety. I'll book here again when I return to Udupi.

The rooms are beautiful, comfortable, and super clean, and the whole property is very well maintained. Breakfast and the evening tea and snacks were amazing, and the staff were excellent. It felt like a four-star place and exceeded what I expected. I'd definitely come back.

Breakfast was the standout, with tasty local dishes that weren't loaded with extra masala or sugar. Our room was comfortable for two nights and had amenities like a five-star hotel, while service was quick and always came with a smile. There's plenty of parking, and the hotel is close to the highway and not too far from the famous Krishna temple.

Being right beside a park made it easy to keep up our daily walks. The Udipi Krishna temple is a little over a kilometre away, and we could walk there using quieter side roads. We stayed five nights at this small hotel, and the service and breakfast really impressed us. The staff were very cordial and worked hard to make our stay enjoyable. When the car we booked through the hotel for an early morning pickup was late, the staff on duty made several calls and personally made sure we got what we needed. Breakfast was included in the room price and worth it, with a spread of local vegetarian dishes each day and welcoming service. I wish they had filter coffee, but that's a small gap for me. We aren't fans of the spice level, or karam, in Udipi dishes, though we enjoyed their aroma and the experience. Good stay, and we'll stay here again when we visit Udipi.
