The location is the one good thing. I booked FabHotel Soni Palace in Ujjain for the early check-in, but it had no front desk or staff around, just a caretaker who brushed off concerns by saying “we don’t have this.” Hot water, a geyser, kettle, and drinking water were missing. The room, linens, and poorly maintained washroom were unhygienic, and the breakfast I'd paid for upfront was substandard and not worth it. It felt like just a room, without the standards of a hotel, guest house, or even an inn. I later saw several similar reviews online, which made it seem like a pattern. I'm posting this as a caution in case it helps even one traveler avoid the place. Though they claim to care about feedback, it clearly isn't acknowledged or acted on. I stayed for 2 nights, on 20th & 21 Fec 25, but afterward the hotel strangely cancelled my booking on bookings.com, claiming I hadn't turned up. I was also clearly overcharged compared with the amount shown on the bookings platform.

There was poor hygiene and mosquitoes everywhere, with no room facilities, no front desk staff, no lift, and no roof staff. I wouldn't bring my family here, especially older relatives. I don't even think this is a hotel or homestay. I believe the owner added fab to the name to attract clients, since there's no Fab sign when you arrive. Even Ujjains dharmshala is far better.

Our room was dirty and the customer service was absolutely zero. We'd booked another hotel near Mahakal temple, but Fab hotels transferred us here, farther from the mandir, which also raised our travel costs. I can't recommend this place at all.

Don't trust the photos posted on Google or the fabhotel website and app. Staying here was awful. I'd rather stay at a 1star hotel.

Paid more than 2500 for a place that wasn't worth even 600rs. The cleanliness was a joke, and it felt like the shadiest, most disgusting place I've stayed. It's one of the worst places to stay in Ujjain. Do not stay at this fake hotel.
