Being only a few minutes' walk from the temple was the one real advantage, and the reason I gave it 2 stars. The bedroom was a decent size, but the sheets looked reused rather than freshly washed, and the pillows were stained with what looked like fungus. The bathroom doors were grimy, with wood peeling off. Even the shared areas were dirty, with a garbage collection spot and a large cold storage unit in the hall. It felt as though the property had been opened and then left without upkeep. Unless staying right beside the temple is essential, I wouldn't recommend it as a genuine 3-star hotel.

Owner Rajat was helpful and happy to guide us if we called with questions. Staff were helpful too, and the rest of the stay was good. The location is premium, right beside the mahakal temple, though cars can't reach the hotel gate during the day. At night or early morning, they can. One thing to improve: the bed sheet and blanket.

The staff were courteous and the service decent. Tea and milk are available for a charge if you ask, and there are a couple of restaurants next door. A whole street with restaurants and souvenirs is also within walking distance. The hotel is close enough to walk to Shri Mahakal Temple, but access can be awkward: the road winds uphill, is very narrow, and is sometimes closed, so loading and unloading a car is a challenge. Inside, rooms have no windows at all, which sometimes felt claustrophobic. The room, bedding, and furniture need upkeep and updating. If you only need somewhere to sleep and freshen up, it can work, but it feels too pricey for that. The location itself is decent.

I was delayed because of a bus problem, but they kept my advance payment and then charged me the full amount again for just a 6 hour gap. Nothing was refunded.

The location is the only good thing about Hotel Naman palace, it's in a very prime spot. The pictures shared on WhatsApp and social sites look totally different from the actual rooms. The rooms aren't good, the washrooms are dirty, and the towels they provide make the stay worse. It feels more like a sarain. They seem to rely on their location, so don't waste your money there.
