Lakhan was especially helpful and polite, and the rest of the staff were very good too. The rooms were clean and good quality, with services available and well managed. For me, this is the best hotel to stay in Ujjain.

The free drop from the hotel to the railway station was the best facility for us. We visited Ujjain as a family and got a family room at Hotel Shivay Palace for a very reasonable price. It was spacious, clean, and nice, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it.

The staff were really helpful, and they offer free pickup and drop service between the railway station and hotel. The rooms are very nice. I’d tell visitors to give Shivay Palace a visit.

My Family AC room reservation through MakeMyTrip was confirmed for Nov 28 to Dec 1 2025, three nights, and I had planned my whole trip around it. Four days after booking, MMT called to say the hotel had declined to honor it because they got another booking. I tried the number listed for the hotel on Google Maps, but it was always switched off. I’m thankful they cancelled before my trip began, so I at least had a chance to find a backup. If they had acted this unprofessionally during the stay, I can't imagine how frustrating it would have been.

They charged 4k for a messy, dirty room, and I’d suggest staying at a Dharmashala instead. The service and room condition were the worst I’ve seen. The pillows smelled strongly, the washroom was unclean, and the dusty bedsheets weren’t changed when we asked. We were told they were already clean and that we could clean them ourselves. They even charge for water bottles that should be complimentary.
