I stayed in room No 202 on 25th-26th Dec. It was the worst hotel I've ever seen. Staff behavior was terrible. Breakfast was included, but we waited two hours. I called more than ten times from the room landline, and they stopped answering. I tried my mobile; after answering once, they began avoiding those calls too. When the food finally came, it was stale, cold, and third-rate. I nearly left without breakfast, but wanted to see how far they'd go to save a few rupees, so I kept waiting and calling. That morning, the flush also stopped working, and the washroom water was so harsh that my body started itching. A horrible stay.

There's a lot that needs improving here. Service fell short, the extra mattress was hard and poor quality, and the washroom wasn't good. They don't have their own kitchen, either. Breakfast and other menu items are ordered from restaurants on the guest's behalf.

There's a large lawn for outdoor events and wedding gatherings, and space to park around 10-12 cars. The property is on the road, though reaching it involves a narrow lane.

The room was comfortable and well equipped, and the food was good value with fast service. Staff were great, especially the friendly and helpful receptionist. We had a wonderful stay, with neat, clean rooms, plenty of space, and a great location.

We booked two large rooms for our family, and our Ujjain trip went smoothly. Shiv palace is a quiet place to stay. The hotel staff were energetic and very helpful. I'd suggest this hotel for a family stay.
