The Jungle Book Resort

We spent two nights at The Jungle Book Resort with family and had a wonderful time. The big, clean rooms have balconies overlooking the jungle, and Jaldapara gate is close by. Staff were courteous and helpful, service was prompt, and the food was nice. We enjoyed the lawn's outdoor seating and evening bonfire. On Christmas eve, there was live music and food, and the ambience was great. A definite good choice if you're staying near Jaldapara.

My wife and I made an unplanned stop at the Jungle Book Resort during our road trip from Kolkata to the North East, and had a pleasant one-night stay. The balcony overlooking the wildlife sanctuary fringes was a bonus, even though we didn't spot any exotic animals, which wasn't really an issue for us. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable with the necessary amenities, room service was prompt, and the food was delicious.

Food delivery to the room took at least an hour and could run another 30 minutes late. The staff weren't hospitable, and communication between departments was poor. We booked three days for the family, but on the first day the room wasn't clean, with hair everywhere, and there was no adjustment for the hot and cold water. Our room food order was wrong and unpalatable. The food and service weren't acceptable. The worst experience of my entire trip, and I wouldn't recommend it to loved ones. Thanks.

The outdoor seating and bonfire made for a great atmosphere, and they also arranged tribal dance. Food was tasty, staff were nice, and service was prompt. The resort is only a short distance from Jaldapara, so the location is perfect. A good experience overall.
