Aranya Jungle Resort

The quiet atmosphere suited us especially well as senior citizens, and every staff member was cooperative and served us with a smile. My wife and I stayed for 5days and enjoyed it thoroughly. Our room was spotless and well maintained, and the chef was skilled and caring, making excellent food just the way we liked it. We hope to return when we get another chance.

The resort has its own watchtower, though it would be better for animal watching if they added a few search lights. It’s only a few metres from the Gorumara National Park booking counter, and the setting and atmosphere are excellent. The food was very good and the hospitality was top-notch. Highly recommend it for Lataguri Tourists.

The food was the best we tried in this area, even compared with a few other resorts. They also extended breakfast, lunch, and dinner hours to suit us, so we didn’t have to get up or return early. Service was thoughtful throughout. Staff were kind, knew their work, and sometimes offered what we needed before we realized it ourselves. We had one of the more luxurious rooms, which was tidy and comfortable. There’s a small garden with a hammock, benches, and a badminton field, all surrounded by jungle plants. There are no heaters, and although hot water is available for a limited time, nights can get cold, so bring warm clothes. Please follow the staff’s request to stay inside the resort at night because of wild animals. We had an amazing stay and definitely recommend the place. *Edited to fix some spelling mistakes*

We had a balcony with lovely views of the garden and forest, and the surroundings are beautiful. The dining room is pretty too. Our Canvas room was very large, with a spacious bathroom. The hotel location is great, just alongside Gorumara, and the safari checkpost is a 10-minute walk away. Before dawn it was still very dark, so hotel staff kindly walked us to the checkpost. Breakfast came at 8:30 am, a little late for us, but there was plenty and it was delicious. The driver provided by the hotel, Shekhar, was efficient, kind, and friendly, and took us to Lava & Rishop. A few local dogs came onto the balcony and sat on our chairs, which felt unhygienic and a little scary. Staff dealt with it the next day and the dogs didn’t return. We had a pleasant stay and would stay here again when we’re in Lataguri.
