The biggest plus is the very cheap off-season price. Otherwise, I had trouble sleeping because of noise from the road and other rooms. The roadside rooms are especially loud with passing vehicles. There were rats and mosquitoes in the room, and the old doors don't close properly. Staff also kept turning off the geyser power. The attractive photos on Google Maps were taken when the hotel opened, and don't show how bad its current condition is.

We really liked Mr. Bhandari's hotel. He's a great, kind man, and the staff were polite and helpful too. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

For the best price, contact the hotel directly instead of booking online. It's one of the most affordable places to stay in Uttarkashi, with good room service and nice hospitality. As of September 2022 there was no restaurant, so you'd have to go elsewhere to eat.

This place is right opposite the petrol pump. People seem to be reviewing Bhandari Annexe, which is about 100 mts away from the petrol pump. I don't mean to be disrespectful, but this place is a dump: dirty toilets and average rooms. Only book it if your budget is really tight. Most of the guests seem to be rural folk, who might be happy with it, but a few 100s more can get you a better place down the road. The worst part is the child labour. Boys around 10 years old are working here, cleaning rooms and such. That shouldn't be encouraged.

Hotel Bhandari and Hotel Bhandari Annexe are different places. The exterior photo in the post is of Hotel Bhandari Annexe near Taxi Stand, while the location shown is Hotel Bhandari, opposite the petrol pump. I have eaten at Hotel Bhandari's restaurant several times. The food is good, and the price is reasonable for a remote hill station like Uttarkashi.
