The reception staff member came running to help when my key card stopped working on the last night, and I appreciated the quick response. Earlier, though, we found the card system tricky to use. The hotel is centrally located, but the area is congested and parking a car is difficult. The packed buffet breakfast was disappointing. Each person got a separate tiffin with mixed muskmelon, pineapple, and papaya, a plain cucumber and tomato sandwich with no flavor, and a small muffin. The muffin was tasty, but the portion was too small, and there were only three despite our having paid for a full buffet. I expected more variety and quantity. The property feels old, and amenities are limited, including very few dip-dip tea bag options. We booked for three but got only two towels. The room lights were dim and not enough to see clearly at night. The bathroom layout was odd too, with one corner open behind a glass-like partition and a curtain. We weren't sure what it was for. The central location and fast response to our call were good, but the facilities and service didn't meet expectations. Better food, amenities, lighting, and attention to guest needs would make a stay more comfortable.

Breakfast was good, with no complaints there. I stayed with family for two nights in March 2026. The hotel is near the railway station, so there was chaos and late-night train noise. It wasn't too bad for a deep sleeper, but it bothered me. The mattress was in terrible condition, with broken springs that dug into my back while I slept. We booked two nights through MMT, but were charged 1000 for an extra person. MMT seemed to show the rate for two adults even when three were selected, and I still need to check with them about it. Valet parking is available, but there's little other parking space. If you want to take your car out often, waiting for the valet each time is inconvenient.

I had told the Fern Baroda hotel near station at check-in that we'd be staying two nights, with double occupancy the first night and single occupancy the second. Still, they charged the same 4400/- for each night, adding 1500 extra for the second night. Their reason was that they'd given us an early check-in, but this was a very bad impression and not how I think a hotel should communicate charges to customers. From the day I checked in, I kept asking what the second night's single occupancy would cost. Every front desk person said they'd get an update from their seniors. The food was fresh and delicious, especially breakfast, and the staff were polite, professional, and ready to help. The rooms at The FER Residency were clean, spacious, and well maintained. It's conveniently located with easy access to nearby places, and the stay felt peaceful and comfortable. A good fit for family trips or business visits. Highly recommended.
