Hotel Aum Regency

I stayed here on the first day of my trip, wasn’t satisfied, then came back on the last day and found it even worse. There was a pungent smell in all the rooms, and the bathrooms were worse than Sulabh Complex bathrooms. We got no proper response, and the food wasn’t up to the mark. I wouldn’t suggest this hotel to travelers coming to Baroda. The railway station and bus stands are better places to sleep, at least. I gave one star only because there was no option to give a minus rating.

The carpeted rooms and hallway were extremely gross and unclean. My friend had to switch rooms three times because of cockroaches and no warm water in the shower. Our toilet seat was broken too. Don’t be fooled by the cheap rates or photos, this hotel is less than average. Its two elevators are too small for a family of four with two suitcases. Only three adults without luggage can fit at a time. I’ll never stay at this or any OYO hotel again.

I’d advise against booking this banquet hall for a party or wedding. We had already confirmed the booking, but they cancelled after getting a higher paying customer and never thought to let us know. We arrived with the booking amount, were told to come back in an hour, and only then learned it was cancelled. The owner, Miss Bhatt, was very rude. They’re money-oriented and don’t take care of customers. I wish I could give zero stars.

We had breakfast arranged for 30 people on our last day, but service was so slow that we were left waiting a long time. The restaurant prices were very high. The rooms were okay and the place seemed decent at first, though the washrooms weren’t maintained well. They said hot water was automatic, but we never got any. When we asked at reception, they didn’t give us a proper response.
