The Beacon Hotel Vadodara

We were extremely disappointed with the service and how we were treated at the Beacon. The bedding had mold on the duvet inner and pillows. When we asked for it to be changed, they put on a new cover that was torn. After we pointed that out, staff said the mold wouldn't be visible with a pillow protector and duvet cover. They did nothing about the mold, which is unhygienic and a health hazard. We wanted to check out and get our money back, but were told there would be no refund. We had booked a package with meals included. Although we'd only been in the room for three hours, because my mother-in-law was sick and we had to arrange another place before leaving, they deducted a one-day room tariff from our two-day stay. I would never recommend anyone stay here.

Even after we checked out, we had to chase the hotel to correct errors on the invoice. The whole experience showed poor accountability and coordination, and I wouldn't recommend Beacon Hotel, especially for business or corporate travelers. We had confirmed the booking over phone and WhatsApp and were explicitly told there was no need for an advance payment. But when our team arrived at 1:30 AM after a long trip, staff refused to allocate rooms unless we paid the full day's amount immediately. Nobody had mentioned this requirement earlier. We had also confirmed an additional stay over WhatsApp, yet at 7:00 AM the staff told our team to leave, saying the confirmation hadn't been shared internally. When we tried to sort it out, the woman handling the call was rude and unprofessional, used insulting language, then abruptly hung up. We were forced to delay an important meeting and leave the hotel. We also had to follow up repeatedly to get a corrected bill.

Shivansh was especially polite and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. The room was clean and well maintained, the food tasted great, and service was quick. I had a comfortable, pleasant stay and would recommend the hotel. I'd be happy to come back.

The location near the railway station is convenient, but the problems made for a disappointing stay at Hotel Beacon, Vadodara. The rooms and washrooms are extremely cramped, with hardly any room to move. Parking is nearly nonexistent, with space for only about four cars against the front wall. The worst part was being charged for mini-bar items that a previous guest had already opened or used. I never touched them, but staff still charged me at checkout. They should check rooms between guests instead of making new arrivals pay for this. I didn't expect such unprofessional behavior and wouldn't recommend the hotel.
