Bamboo Creek Resort

We spent much of our time enjoying the resort itself, with its walking trail across a huge area and a river right at the entrance. Our room faced the river, and in peak monsoon we could hear its lovely sound all day. The place is set far inland from other tourist spots, but for a vacation that was part of the appeal. The food felt homely and tasted good, though choices were limited. Rooms are few and spaced well apart, so you get privacy, and they don't feel like rooms at other resorts. It's one of the best places I've stayed, and I'd consider coming back.

The kids could have stayed by the little boating lake forever, and we had a good family visit overall. Our two days of vegetarian local food were tasty and healthy, with plenty of dishes made using homegrown vegetables, though it was a bit pricey. We went as a large group of families, and the children loved the property. Stream View cottages have a nice feel but were somewhat noisy and had mosquitoes. Plantation cottage was quiet and mosquito-free, though quite a trek to get to. The stream had little water in summer, so the kids missed out on playing there. The rooms had plenty of space, but we found cockroaches, so they need better upkeep. Staff were very friendly, and the food tasted okay, though the choices were limited, perhaps because there weren't many visitors. It's a nature resort among lush greenery with a stream. The stream water was muddy, but sitting beside it and listening to nature was lovely. The boat at the natural pool looked poorly maintained and, I think, wasn't operating.

We spent about four days in a Stream View cottage, and it was one of our best vacations. The natural stream running along one side of the resort really won me over, and the place has the potential to be a 5 star resort. The staff were warm and helpful. The food was very tasty and healthy, with much of it made from ingredients grown on the resort farm. For anyone who loves nature and wants somewhere quiet to relax, I don't think this place will disappoint.
