You can meet people and make great connections here, while still having room to yourself. The hostel is in one of the best parts of goa for going out and partying, yet it's remote and calm. That balance made it one of my favorite hostels in India. The friendly staff became friends, and helped me feel right at home. This hostel has everything! THANK YOU
I planned to stay 2 nights, but after trying a terrible hostel nearby I came back and asked Ravi about a room. Luckily, he had one, and I stayed 13 nights. Dreams Hostel is clearly Ravi's passion project, and you can feel how much heart he put into it. The conversations with him and the staff were great, the service was great, and they're genuinely good people. I met amazing souls who felt like family, and I'll stay here whenever I come back. Ravi can help with anything, from activities and tips to local advice. Salamat, Ravi! Also, there are two cute dogs and one super clingy cat 🐶🐶🐱
I stayed in the shared dorms for over 5 days and had a great time. It's close to some great spots for food and a beer, and the friendly staff had fantastic suggestions for local places and parties. The two dogs are sweet and love pets. They also have a reasonably priced kitchen menu and bar, plus a social area where travelers can hang out together.
Dreams Hostel is really worth recommending. The common area is lovely and it's easy to meet other solo travelers. I ended up extending my stay. The owner Ravi (I think that’s how his name is spelt) was extremely accommodating, and even took time to help me work through India's complicated train booking system.
In December, I stayed at this hostel and ran into a frustrating mess: Ravi, the caretaker, had assigned the same bed to more than one guest. When I brought it up, he was rude and dismissive, leaning on “policies” instead of taking responsibility or sorting it out. The management came across as careless and poorly coordinated. There are much better-run hostels, and I strongly recommend choosing one of those.
