I wouldn’t book this place again. It’s out in the jungle, with no reception or security, and there’s no cafe either. The property feels unsafe to reach, and the photos on the Oyo app don’t show the actual place. The room was hot, with just one LED bulb that didn’t give enough light. The Oyo property manager wasn’t there when I arrived; someone new, who’d only been there a week, was present instead.
Being so close to Vagator beach is a real plus. The market, shops, and places to eat are only a few hundred metres away. Power cuts last at least an hour on most days, though, and there seems to be no water at night.
The rooms were good, but even though I paid extra for breakfast, there wasn’t any breakfast service. Don’t add it when booking, it’s a complete waste of money.
It’s a cottage-like Oyo home, and my stay was pleasant. Work is still going on, and the home is behind the house you see from the front, so don’t judge it by that view. It has an AC, refrigerator, and everything else.
Shetty bhai was really helpful and easygoing, and the rooms were cleaned every day with fresh sheets. The rooms and washrooms were decent and clean, though it took a little effort to find this homestay. It’s peaceful, but don’t expect full room service. You need to call, then wait about five minutes. I ate dinner at one of his three restaurants, and the food was very good. Vagator beach and the local markets, including Saturday market, are nearby. Rent a scooty and enjoy your stay. I’d come back on my next visit.
