OYO 9826 Garden Villa

The setting near Vagator and Anjuna is the one real reason to consider this property. In Room No. 17, there was no television or intercom, so even for basic help we had to leave the room and walk nearly 25-30 meters to reach staff. Nobody cleaned the room during our stay, and the limited services seemed to shut down around 10-11 PM, leaving no support afterwards. The room was nothing like the pictures, and the tariff was comparable to a 3-star hotel without services to justify it. The property is not recommended for a comfortable in-house stay, particularly for couples or guests who care about service. Overall, our experience was unsatisfactory.

The stay itself was good, but booking through agoda left us paying more than expected. We were supposed to get cashback for our three nights. When we arrived, the property canceled the booking, then charged us the same amount we’d booked through agoda, so we lost the promised cashback.

I keep coming back to Goa, and this is one of my favorite places. I love how simple it is here, just food and coffee. What more do you need on vacation?

The pool was well kept and the place was pretty clean. Parking, though, is limited, and our room was small, even if well appointed. It’s in an excellent spot near Vagator beach and the better restaurants around. Most staff had a glum look, something typical of Goan hosts with Indian tourists. Tips didn’t get a smile either.
